Lidar watches a set of subreddits on behalf of the products that use it, reading the newest posts in each one every day and keeping them. Everything on these pages is drawn from that collection, which currently holds 2,009 posts from 38 communities and has been running since 22 July 2026. It grows on its own, so both tools get more useful the longer they sit there.
Two honest limits are worth stating up front. We read the newest posts in each community rather than all of them, so the counts describe what we saw rather than everything that was written, and the communities we watch are the ones our customers care about rather than all of Reddit. Neither limit makes the numbers wrong. It makes them a sample, and we would rather tell you that than round it off.
