The largest business community on Reddit and close to the least productive for a software vendor. Discussion skews motivational, and the proportion of members operating a business with an actual software budget is small.
Its size makes it perpetually tempting, which is precisely why it is worth naming as a trap. Traffic from here converts poorly and the effort required to be visible is high because the volume is enormous.

Size is read as opportunity. The ratio of people with a software budget to people asking what business to start makes it one of the worst uses of time on Reddit.

Rules permit some disclosed participation, but the volume means anything useful is buried within an hour regardless of what you write.
What gets you removed
Self-promotion outside the permitted formats, which the volume makes pointless anyway.
A good first contribution
Find the rare operational question and answer it well. Everything else in the feed is motivational content that leads nowhere.
